If There was Ever a Time to Invest…
Unless you’ve been living under a “media black-out” rock this past week, in which case you are totally forgiven and considered to be a very wise and emotionally healthy individual, you would have noticed that the President of the United States traveled to Phoenix, Arizona – for one reason. Well, if you count the photo opportunity, two reasons.
The president was here to boast and bless the Taiwan Semi-Conductor Company’s (TSMC) massive project rising in the North Phoenix desert. Actually, it’s more like a high-tech city being birthed on over 1100 acres, except there are no homes or services in it, which leads me to the investment opp.

But first, the report on this company’s project:
$12 Billion Dollar 1st Stage Investment – now underway
$28 Billion Dollar 2nd Stage Investment – To Follow
$40 Billion Dollar Total PLUS contributing companies starting up to support TSMC
This immense manufacturing feat, according to the linked article, is one of the largest foreign direct investments in Arizona history. TSMC will be fabricating (why this is known as a “fab” plant) currently needed 5 nanometer chips by 2024 and more advanced chips down to 2-nanometer size in the future after building their next fab. They own over.
“Nanometers indicate the density of transistors on a chip, which means the smaller the nanometer, the more power-efficient the chip is,” per the article.
TSMC will create thousands of new jobs including over 10,000 high tech jobs. There’s already been 10,000 construction workers building the plant. Then, the follow up companies that are likewise emerging as support companies in the North Valley are many and varied.
The question then, is where will all these newcomers live? The answer is without doubt, hopefully for them, nearby. The problem is, there’s nowhere near the housing capacity available.
The project, located at Highways 17 and 303, is near two larger planned unit developments, such as Anthem and Vistancia. Anthem has a few new-builds happening but like other communities nearby, is mostly built out. Vistancia and nearby communities have more new home units being built but won’t begin to handle the demand.
So there ya go. A new city rising needing homes for folks to rent and buy. No supply and huge demand.
